On the road again

Unbelievably we’re leaving again. We have a whole week of vacation next week (very rare situation) and Mark had a voucher from his last trip so we’re skipping town.

We’re flying to Hartford, Conneticut, driving to Boston to spend a couple of days, then driving down to Rhode Island to spend a couple of days with Mark’s brother, Matt, and his family. We’re so excited. I haven’t seen Jonah (2 1/2) or Luke (6) in over 2 years (Mark saw them last summer when he helped them move). Cody, our newest nephew, was born in December and this will be our first chance to meet him.

I’m also excited because Boston has a huge Portuguese population, so we’re going to go eat some good food from the motherland :o)

Expect lots of pictures.

We had a great time in Branson. Mark’s grandma, three aunts, three uncles, and one cousin were up from Texas and we joined them for a wonderful long weekend. It was good to see family again and take some time away to just relax. Of course, we did keep busy. Here’s a sampling of what we did:

Chicken Foot late into the night

Shuffleboard – look at that form…
Putt-Putt with Jackie, Mark’s cousin (yes, Mark won….)
Go-Kart Races
Air Hockey
We also went shopping – one store had this …
…which of course, the husbands appreciated
Branson Landing Fire, Lights, Music Show – the pictures don’t do it justice, of course. If you ever go to Branson, make sure and go to this. It’s pretty neat (and free!)

It was a weekend full of fun moments, lots of laughter, and of course good food.
